Studio 36
A literary abstraction of Singapore and Perth Creatives.

An open-armed embrace.
An artist studio presents itself as a place of refuge in times of crisis.
With poetry stroked upon the walls.
We enter a space through winding staircases and a ledge overseeing the quiet port.
I listen as the airbrushes softly stroke my ears,
directing my gaze to the glint atop the maritime museum.
The bittersweet symphony rings once more.
I learned these three wise principles that day.
Transparency
Trust
Integrity
Nostalgia a poison ivy,
dripping down our throats like honey
Awakening to vivid flashes of neon lights and cars whizzing pass forgotten streets.
Eyes closed,
we return to our mother’s womb.
Art is a space of humble exchange where greed will not succeed.
This, I believe.
“Only divine love bestows the keys of knowledge.”
