Ruled Out at Unrule
Exasperation with a grimacing smile.
The world is a but a stage no Shakespeare?
Doused in the warmth of contemplative moments in the shower,
The water burns brighter than thinner upon raw skin
There is no smell; white noise surrounds you.
Have you ever been there before?
The wait without the diagnosis,
bouncing from appointments to the next.
I took a breath,
waiting for my prescription to be read.
I held my breath.
The popcorn provided chomped down as comfort consolation.
Unrule was a disenchanting reality.
